Building Number Foundations
Students will learn how to explain why and how a number relates to other numbers in the problem to build confidence and conceptual understanding for current and future math learning. We will focus on representing numbers with objects and physically. We will cover comparing, composing and decomposing, adding, subtracting, classifying shapes, picture graphs, and coins. We are building strong foundations to build confident, happy students.
1st Grade
Growing Number Sense
Students will learn how to explain why and how a number relates to other numbers in the problem to build confidence and conceptual understanding. We will use objects, pictures, number sentences and physical movement to enhance current and future math learning. We will focus on representing and comparing numbers. We will learn adding, subtracting, skip counting, classifying and identifying shapes. We will learn the introduction to fractions and time. Picture graphs, bar graphs, and coin value. We are building strong foundations to build confident, happy students.
2nd Grade
Expanding Skills with Place Value
Students will learn how to explain why and how a number relates to other numbers in the problem to build confidence and conceptual understanding for current and future math learning. We will focus on representing numbers, place value, comparing objects and pictures. We will learn adding, subtracting, skip counting, and coin value. Fractions, classifying shapes, time, pictographs, and bar graphs. We are building strong foundations to build confident, happy students.
3rd Grade
Mastering Number Sense
Students will learn how to explain why and how a number relates to other numbers in the problem to build confidence and conceptual understanding. We will use objects, pictures, and number sentences to enhance current and future math learning. We will focus on representing and comparing numbers. We will learn adding, subtracting, skip counting, classifying and identifying shapes. We will learn fractions and time. Tables, graphs, plots, and coin value. We are building strong foundations to build confident, happy students.
4th Grade
Advanced Number Sense
Students will learn how to explain why and how a number relates to other numbers in the problem to build confidence and conceptual understanding. We will use objects, pictures, and number sentences to enhance current and future math learning. We will focus on adding and subtracting whole numbers and decimals. We will also focus on multiplying, dividing, and patterns. We will learn adding, subtracting, and comparing fractions. We will learn how to classify figures, measurement, time, tables and plots. We are building strong foundations to build confident, happy students.
5th Grade
Prepare for Middle School Math
Students will learn how to explain why and how a number relates to other numbers in the problem to build confidence and conceptual understanding. We will use objects and pictures, when appropriate, with equations and expressions to enhance current and future math learning.  We will focus on adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and decimals.  We will also focus on multiplying and dividing word problems with decimals. We will compare decimals and simplify numerical expressions. We will graph in the first quadrant.  We will learn how to classify figures, perimeter, area, and volume. We will learn tables, graphs and plots. We are building strong foundations to build confident, happy students.
The price of a course includes all of the lessons within the course – $300.
Students’ academic data is retained for two years after non-activity. If activity resumes within the two years, a student will have access to the information.
